The Refuge Series 2024 / 2026

The Elements Series explores fundamental materials and forces through layered paper constructions and recessed space.

Each work contains a chamber — a defined void that holds and concentrates the presence of an element. Earth, water, fire, air and elemental metals are distilled into quiet, contained forms.

The larger works introduce a dialogue between paired elements, where opposing or complementary forces coexist.

As light moves across the surface, subtle shadows settle into the recesses, creating depth and shifting atmospheres.
